What to expect at the International Builder Show 2023 (IBS)
The International Builder Show is all about bringing together top of the line design professionals, builders and product into one space. At the end of this month, IBS is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This will be my first time going so I have done some research to see what exactly will be happening and the best places to check out as a designer.
Here are the top three things to expect if you have never been:
(1) For Designers: At IBS, there are specific events for designers. A few important details discussed are the forecasted trends of 2023 including, but not limited to: the interior and exterior architecture of a home, how to design a happy and healthy home and the sustainability aspects in regards to if designers and builders are meeting client expiations of going green.
(2) Suppliers and mentors: Finding new suppliers is a huge benefit of attending IBS. You get to talk with professionals from all over the world who offer new and innovative products that will be beneficial to you and your business. This helps when talking with clients about what they could potentially be putting in their homes. Beyond that, there are going to be thousands of business owners, old and new, who you get to chat with and build relationships with. They will bring a new level of expertise to the table that you can then share with your customers.
(3) Speakers: Hearing from speakers all over the world will expand your knowledge on topics you are familiar or not familiar with. The more educated you are as a business owner, the more professional you seem when meeting with a client for the first time. I am most looking forward to hearing from Dawn Duhamel, who is the Vice President at Possibilities for Design in Denver, CO.
I can’t wait to get back and share everything that we learned!
